Finally, a thread that isnt the carbon copy of another equally lame thread. Now, for a brief intro as to why I am taking all of you good peoples precious time away from you.

For those who know me, I'm into language. Old, New, Dead, Just Dumb, I like language. So this is the first ever, "Teach me a Language" thread. now, do i mean teach me fluently? of course not, do i mean say a random swear in Spanish? no, but it will happen, what I mean is, this is going to be, a Living, growing record, if you will, any and all languages of this great earth will [ if all goes well ] be in this thread at some point.

will it be a joke? will it be "where is the Bathroom" will it be Klingon? Elfish? Will it be Latin Bullshit? who knows! but it will be here, and you know you love it.

So some loose stipulations that you may or may not follow, i have no controll either way, are presented to the good people here:

- All Foreign languages should have the english meaning stated clearly, as per the NG Party Rules.

- If you see 5 posts saying Que pasa Holmz [ whats up, buddy, like you didnt know, as per the NG Party Rules ], probably dont post it again, or add a word.

-All Fake languages count, THAT ARE DOCUMENTED, meaning, dont post some fake language you came up with in 5th grade, but, if you know some stupid Klingon, Esperanto, feel free.

It's funny since Tolkien hated it when people used the words elfish or elfin. The first versions of lord of the rings had this in them, and that screwed everything up. I should slap you. Don't you people read anymore? A Clockwork Orange is a masterpiece. To contain an entire made up language and incorporate that into a book; then not tell you what the words mean, but in the end you understand the language, is a work of true literacy genius. One of my favorite books of all time.

Yeah I saw Clockwork orange when i was a little kid, but, when i watched it as an adult, i understood all the weird little slang they used [ I speak some russian ] and, its not so much made up, as its umm....mispronounced russian?

they say dev-otch-kah for woman, in russian its said dev-itch-kah, umm, they say horosho for good, just like russian, but in russian you say with a kinda kh sound, that english doesnt make, khadasho, and everything else was very easy, chai for tea, straight Russian, etc.

Maybe it's because the class is easy then, because I have a 107 percent in that class.
So, I'm sorry if my German curriculum moves at a slower pace, but it's not my fault.
I know what I learn, so I don't really control how much different info I have an intake of, because I'm not the teacher.
