How do you give someone the brush off? i wouldn't say i'm being stalked...but my personal space is being violated DAILY! this girl i madeSHORT conversations with now won't leave me alone. I heard some other girl say she used to be friends with the girl but she got clingy and when she stopped talking to her the girl sent her an email asking why she was being ignored.

I'm not even TRYING to be friends with this girl and she won't leave me alone i cant imagine what her friend had to put up with! i've given the girl very short answers and didn't go in to deep conversations with her, or ever try to hang out with her anywhere, but apparently my " how was the test for you?" means "YOU'RE SO COOL LETS BE BEST FRIENDS!!!" this girl also has some sort of learning problem, and i know i sound like an ass for being annoyed with her but i'm not trained to be able to tolerate someone with issues so i don't have the patience for her. Here's what she's been doing and you tell me if i'm overreacting

* Stares either at me or the work i'm doing (i'm an artist) and for long amounts of time, 20 mins max.

* sleeps in class and almost fell assleep on me today i nearly punched her in the ear.

* never remembers her supplies and always asks me for the things she forgets art stuff is expensive people! and she's a rich girl!!

* sits next to me when there are empty seats everywhere, i know i sound crazy...but common theres hardly anyone in our class and we have small cramped desks packed close together. For her to ask me to move my bag so she can sit next to me then fall assleep, and chew her food loud during a lecture is fucking bullshit!

I KNOW she has problems...but i shouldn't have to be forced to deal with her if i don't want to and i've been as about as cold as i can be without coming off a COMPLETE asshole. She's very awkward to talk to so don't say "GIVE HER A CHANCE!" i can decide who i do and do not want to be friends with thanks. So...help please? and any experiences you've had might help.

HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT TO SOMEONE WHO DOESNT SPEAK TO YOU!!?!? what she's doing is annoying but for me to say "STOP SITTING NEAR ME!!!" would make me look insane! it's the subtle things that bother me, and if i were to tell her to stop i'd look like a maniac. I have to subtley tell her to stay away from me without saying or doing anything so obviously. I've already tried short answers, blank faces, shrugging, sighing loudly.

I figured that was the problem. You are scared that other people are going to view you as an asshole if you tell this girl to fuck off, but you know that's the only way she is going to leave you alone. Well DUH i already knew that freud. I have a serious issue with speaking out and being rude, it's not that i HATE her, i just want her away from me. I'll do anything to get her away i just don't want to completely make her feel suicidal...i mean i know no matter what i'll make her depressed, but i may as well opt for something that will make her hurt the least. I'm going to switch my seats in ALL the classes, and hope she takes the hint. My dad just said "oh hell no i can't afford to be paying for her art supplies TELL HER NO DAMMIT!" so i guess i have to say no.

If you have a problem with being rude then you should have no problem with politely telling her that something she does to you makes you feel uncomfortable. Then again, if you have to ask a public internet forum about how to deal with other people I am guessing you are pretty fucked up and any serious advice won't work with you anyway.

A response of "I said that?!" and an incredulous look to "I thought you said we were going to hang out this past weekend?" after purposely avoiding sitting remotely near her in the lecture for a full week solidly gave the message.

I'm not the bad guy here either. She'd toss out bitch comments every other minute of conversation.

FINALLY SOMEONE GETS IT! i did all that i TRIED distancing myself, i can't get more monotone then monotone. I've done everything but say "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" she doesn't GET it. But i know for sure this borrowing my stuff, interuppting my studies has got to stop. Not all of us are born with silver spoons up our asses, some people just need to go away during school and be there to learn not socialize.

well first off i'm a girl not a guy, yes girls have on occasion stumbled on to newgrounds. Second, she has NO friends, she used to sit with people but i guess that's over, i don't blame her i don't like them either, but unfortunately since i'm not hanging out with the other people in our class and she's not either...guess who's stuck together? and guess what group i've got to run to? none. It's either i be stuck with her or stuck with them. Both options make me want to kill myself. Don't get me wrong she's a nice person, but she's still annoying.
