Yeah, my cats going to die

My cat has a tumor in his nose, we had to apply medicine to it to help it become smaller. It was working for a while but now my family is slacking off his treatment. Now he's getting nosebleeds and starting to snort again. My mother says if he doesn't feel better by the weekend they're going to put him down. Fucking wonderful! You know what, I don't even care! You know why? This probably started because my family treats my cat like shit! So you know, I don't give a shit! I love my cat but my family are just a bunch of dicks! I'm the only one who likes to treat him with care and not PICK HIM UP FROM HIS FUCKING FUR! Then my mom says she the only one who cares, calling a cat a mother fucker, son of a bitch, and asshole. Only because he doesn't like getting treated. He has a fucking tumor, give him a fucking BREAK! Then my mom has the balls to ask me if I want to be there when they put him down. I don't like to see my cat die in front of my fucking eyes! Even thinking about it makes me start to tear up! So, how should cope with my loss?

Dude, it really sucks what you're going through...we had to put my cat down not too long ago because of kidney failure.

...But, I needed to be there for him. I loved that cat more than anybody in the house, and...you never know if time passes by that you weren't there to see him to the other side, y'know?

Be there for him, because in his final moments, he's going to be scared...he's going to feel pain for the last time, and you need to be brave enough, that despite it all, you're still there him.

Yeah, I agree! But I don't understand the nose bleeds. At first we thought he had something stuck up his nose. Then a tumor. Then a nosebleed, I'm thinking maybe there is something stuck up his nose and the vets just didn't notice it. Tumor causing nosebleeds? If it was blocking his nose, why would he get a nose bleed. Unless..... The tumor is begging to be so small that it's starting to detach. Explaining the nose bleeds and his snarfulling. I'm not saying that is true but, it could be possible.

Man, I've lost a couple of pets over the years, and I know what you're going through. You ought to be there when they put him down. I really wasn't up for putting my guinea-pig down when I was 7, but, I dunno, being with the little guy in the last moments, it wasn't as bad as I thought. It was good knowing that he died peacefully.

Yeah, but yeah know, I had another who died of illness. I saw him die in front of my eyes. I don't see how this is any different. But I'll be fine, it's just the circle of life, and you guys have helped me feel better. Thanks for all the help! I knew not everyone on Newgrounds isn't cold hearted! I'm not going to get my hopes up but I have a good feeling he'll fell better on the weekends!

It's a pretty awful feeling. Two of my cats have been put down in my life, and I lost time at school because of it. Both of them being a pretty big blow to me at the time... but once it happens the emotional hit kinda lessens its impact to me after a few days. Pretty ironic of me saying this after yesterday, but death is something you've got to try your best to deal with, it's fucking hard to do, but the more you can take te hit the more you seem to deal with the reality of death.
