I am not trying to be a douche. I'm trying to exercise my rights, and I believe I am being reasonable. I don't get why you all have to jump on my case. It's not like I'm putting my speakers up to the window and cranking it up full blast. It's just the bass that bothers them. I know for a fact it would only be a slightly more than faint sound inside their house.

Keep the volume the same and tell them that you don't have to cooperate. It wouldn't be so smart to antagonize them by turning up the volume any louder...

I assume he probably lives in an apartment because if he lives in a house all its own, and his music is waking up his neighbors, then this kid really needs to turn it down. And if youre in an apartment, and your neighbors are complaining about your loud music,. its likely to be EVERY neighbor around you.

Stop complaining and just turn it down a few notches. Or get some headphones and burst your own ears instead of everyone elses.

This. If it pissed them off so, they should've bitched from the beginning.

Just because the law says that you can make a lot of noise from 8 AM to 10 PM or 10 AM to 8 PM doesnt mean that someone can just sit there and wait til 10 AN on the dot to turn their music on at full volume and then do nothing all day but sit there and listen to it and never leave and have their bass blasting through someone elses house for 10 hours until 8 PM. The reason people get pissed off with neighbors who have their bass blasting through the place is because the bass is all anyone else hears, and isn't really even a noise, but like a vibration.

Here's a serious suggestion, why don't you try compromising with them? If you're listening to it at volume level 10, do it at volume level 5, and then you can listen to it at volume level 8 from like 4-7 and it will still sound really loud at volume 8, but you wont be pissing people off as much.

Dude, maybe you should try to cooperate with your neighbors, you don't NEED to have your music blasting. Try to think of other people's priorities before yours, you selfish dick.

Just be considerate and get a pair of earphones.

I understand why their annoyed if you play your music so loud you can hear it outside and inside the house next door.

I'm sure you can go for a week playing your music at a normal volume just to be 'nice'. If they complain after that, tell them about the ordinance that your complying with.
