If Nintendo made a pokemon game where it wasn't turn based which is possible to do with rpg's they would bank so hard.

With only the first 151 pref, as the art style got lazy and repetitively lame as it progressed. Old pictures with the colored pencil, epic.

If they did all of this in an mmo, they would have their own little mmo money machine much like Blizzard and they wouldn't have to rely on selling their consoles, as much.

I didn't really like the show, but the games are awesome, at least the hand held ones. I haven't played any console ones aside from Stadium 2 and Battle Revolution, both of which are pretty much their hand held games on the big screen.

Some people though need to not deny the existence of all 493 just because they claim there's too many and that the new ones look like crap, it isn't very hard to remember them! Every generation had awful ones and good ones, not just the new games.

The show was cool. But, no. I refuse to watch crap anymore.

The games are still fun though, and if you must, read the Pokemon Adventures/Special comic. It's pretty freakin' cool.

I never liked pokemon but i played the games. I like digimon the creatures are cool and the show was better but it's not on tv anymore since there was alot parshall nudity in it .

theres a game called pokemon scramble where you control the pokemon and use attacks to defeat other pokemon in a battle arena. i used to have it, not that great though

I havent watched it in ages, still have a few cards tho.

One thing I don't understand is how everybody says the first season was the best and it all went downhill from there. I remember when the first movie was released on the IMDB and it was in the bottom 100, and on RottenTomatoes it had a score of 8% (it now has 15%). Since then, no pokemon movie has been on the bottom 100, nor has any movie had that low a score. Pretty weird.

My favorite Pokemon is still Typhlosion. I kinda like Heatren, Evee, Espoen, and Dusclops.
I mostly just play the card game.

hate the show, love the games.

I liked the show up until after the Orange Islands thing, I liked the first movie when I was young and foolish, and I still like the games.

Mostly R/B, G/S, and other things from that era, though. I still like the new games, but now it just feels like too much pokemon.

Silver was my favourite pokemon game, and still is. Not only did you find a cool new region, you could go back to Kanto, battle all the old gyms, and then battle your character from the old game. People say they should stick to 151, and that the 493 that we have now is a bit ridiculous, but the 250 or so they had in the second generation I think was still quite manageable.

I've been playing Diamond for the last hour or so.

Best new one: Emerald. I have all the starter pokemon and all the legendaries. No regies cause they suck XP

Best old one: Yellow. But i lost it like a decade ago i hardly remember it.

I find Pokemon a bit too....................friendly

I still enjoy the games but I really didn't like the fourth generation of Pokemon. I mean, at least 20 of them were evolved forms of older Pokemon. Diamond/Pearl as games weren't bad but I was most happy with the previous games. However, I am willing to get the G/S remakes when they come out as I miss the original games so much (I can only play it on my old GBA without backlight which has also been scratched to death). SoulSilver will probably be the very last Pokemon game I'll ever pick up.

As for the show, I still love the first season and like a few have said, Orange Islands wasn't too bad but forget anything afterwards. I could go on for a while as to why the show sucks these days but right now, I'm watching through the first season and it's bringing back so many memories. Funny to think I got into Pokemon a decade ago and still have some interest in the franchise. A few times I thought I'd completely lose interest by the end of this decade.

You know what I found out? The latest movie (the 12th about Arceus) set the world record for most advanced ticket purcharse for an animated motion picture with about 2.3 million tickets. Take that, all you pokemon anime haters.

Now after he beat the Johto league, Ash should have battled the Elite Four, lost against the third guy then he'd tell all his friends that he's going away to train but he doesn't tell them where he's going to train, thus ending the show being about Ash. Then they should have started an entire new story featuring new characters traveling in Hoenn and Sinnoh. Then in the Sinnoh league they all meet each other and battle.

I think some of you guys are missing the point. The first post was asking what people thought of the anime, not of the games. You people are talking about how good the games are, and how they changed, not the anime.
