Hi, just wondering could anyone help me input a sound file into reason as i want to sample it. I have a theme tune which is about 3 minutes long in the format of WAV and MP3. I have tried to open it with numerous things but it does not show up.

Reason isn't really made to work with audio clips, so I doubt you can actually sample a track with it. I'd go for something like Audacity or something similar for that task. Or you could get Proppelerhead's 'Record if you're willing to spend some money.

Either way, questions about Reason belong in the reason thread.

If my memory serves me correctly, you have to make the sample into a .rex file using reCycle and then you can load it into dr. rex.

Create an instance of the NN19 digital sampler and load it up with the sample you want. If you're sample is small enough, that will work. If you have a lot of samples I'd recommend using either the redrum or you can learn how to use the zones in the advanced sampler. If your sample are really long, I'd recommend using a free app like audacity to chop it up a few times and use it as several different samples to save yourself some trouble.

Exactly... Quarl.rep++
Use one of your samplers - either of the NN's will help you with this. The 19 and the XT have slightly different options and setting but either will work.
