This. Especially in the Mothership Zeta add-on. When you would come back from walking out onto the ship, if you didn't pressurize the chamber before taking of your space helmet, your head would explode. It was great.

The Gears of War headshot is indeed my pick as well. The satisfying sound and display of blood and gore always warms my heart true. Runners up were the Left 4 Dead headshots.

Borderland's headshots are pretty impressive to watch, especially whe you're level 40 and you used a really good sniper rifle, when you go to fyrestone and one shot level 5s.

They're not really headshots, but I'm going to say Dragon Age: Origins. It's a rare animation possible when you finish off an enemy, decapitating them. So satisfying.

There's nothing more gratifying than hearing that little *ting* noise as you get a head shot on COD 4.
I hope they have some sort of noise similar to this on Modern Warfare 2.

Hardly head-shots, more like 'neck shots'. I have to agree with Gears headshot, it was the first that popped into my head upon reading the thread title. Also Brother In Arms has some awesome head shots.
