What are you doing tonight to celebrate bonfire night?

for the americans: bonfire night is when the british celebrate the foiling of the plans of Guy Fawkes who tried to blow up parliament - he was the original Osama.

I'm just off to the pub to watch a local art-psych-blues band play tonight (they played at our college today and they're really good), not fussed for fireworks since I'm off to a party tomorrow and they'll have some there anyway.

Unfortunately I'm quite busy with work so I'm doing nothing but hearing the faint sounds of fireworks from all the other people who actually give a shit about today.

Knowing my town, if I went out with mates, we would probably have a firework thrown at us or something.

I spend my bonfire nights benefiting off everybody else's fireworks. Because I live on a hill I get excellent views of everyone's gardens (well not at night) but I still get to see hundreds of firework displays.
