I didn't even realize it was Bonfire night today until last night! Hoping to go down to Liverpool Pier and take some photographs of the fireworks later on. ^-^

I adore V for Vendetta. As some have pointed out, the film also EDUCATES its viewers with a HISTORY LESSON. And people are complaining? The movie was brilliant, and I have no qualms whatsoever with its association with Guy Fawkes Day, I'm more concerned with faggots donning the Guy Fawkes maks and saying "Hey look, I'm /b/!" or making some other incredibly ignorant remark about anon that makes me want to crush their face repeatedly with a sledgehammer.

I completely forgot that today was the 5th of November. If I was back home right now I'm sure we would have had a firework display, but I don't think I'll be attending one this year.

Dang, I won't even have any sparklers to mess around with. :(

I'd be concerned too if I saw small sticks running around with a V mask on claiming themselves to be a group called /b/.

Oh, yes! I was just looking at my calendar and I noticed it said there was a holiday coming up called "Guy Fawkes Day". I'm not familiar with the holiday, but I know the guy. It's funny, because when I saw "V For Vendetta" I thought it was something made for the comic book/movie, but apparently it already existed as Guy Fawkes masks.

I thought we celebrate this day because we STOPPED guy fawkes, not celebrating guy fawkes for his attempt to blow up parliment. But I dont care, blow shit up and killing people sounds bad so I think its good we celebrate this day that no did die.

Holy shit, I read a paragraph about this day in history in a class today. I've never heard of it until today. When I heard Fawkes the mutant who can tag along with you in Fallout 3 came to mind. It's funny how he almost succeeded at blowing up Parliament, and now they celebrate it with explosions. Irony!

i refuse to celebrate a terrorist... even tho he may have had good intentions. he is still a terrorist.i think this holiday is bull. its basicaly making fun of 9/11 every american remembers it!

Although his intentions were good does make his actions that good. Although things back then were completely fucked up I dont think the result of him successfully blowing up parliment would have made our future any better.
