The Fifth of November

I want you all to know that tomorrow is The Fifth of November/ what does this mean?
Well to put it simply, a catholic heretic, (including many others), were executed after attempting to blow up Parliament on this date in 1605.
That is really all it is, but it is celebrated with many bonfires and fireworks all over the U.K. and other countries also.

It was as much a historical uprising as America's revolution. Maybe more violent, but Guy Fawkes was an important historical character. I'm a bit pissed at how V for Vandetta is the only means of you people recognizing this date.
