I want you all to know that tomorrow is The Fifth of November/ what does this mean?
Well to put it simply, a catholic heretic, (including many others), were executed after attempting to blow up Parliament on this date in 1605.
That is really all it is, but it is celebrated with many bonfires and fireworks all over the U.K. and other countries also.
Here is a popular rhyme:
Remember, remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot.
I see no reason, why gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot.
Remember, remember, the fifth of November,
Gunpowder, treason and plot!
A stick or a stake for King James' sake
Will you please to give us a fagot
If you can't give us one, we'll take two;
The better for us and the worse for you!
I wish I could get a Guy Fawkes mask to wear to school, but I don't have a paypal account or anything so I can't order one or anything. :C
If anyone else is excited about tommorow, post how you are going to celebrate.
