Feel free to be critical; I'm by no means a professional in logo-design.

It' great and all that your getting your self out there, but you gotta start a thread with a peice of original art included, not just linked.
It's here in the handy dandy Art Forum Rules
So yeah, you will probably have much better luck when using the "include Picture" option right under the text box here
Thank you, Come Again
see guys I can be nice when I need to be....

Dang! I'm jelous. I wish I could come up with something as cool ast that. I give it a 10 out of 10... hundred!
jk
Not a fan of it. I know you tried to make it look like a fan, but smushing the second a and the y together was not a good idea.

fixed...
I have to agree with johnny though... it loses readability, It took me quite some time to see the Y... maybe try simplifying it a bit? make just have the text AJAY and then the lightbulb in the y, I think thatd be better
it would help if we knew the target audience directed at. :) Age group, or specialist interest etc.
Or is this just for fun?
its a little unbalanced. to the right, theres more "stuff" over there. It would look better if you balanced it out. Either add something to the other side, take some off of the right side, or spread it out a bit.
So far, you all have valid points, and I will attempt to work on those.
The target audience is likely doing to be 10-25 y/o people who are looking to play games. I just want something memorable.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Also, My possible "company" names are;
AJ
A-Jay
AppleJuiceKing

i went through my university design course notes to find something that might help :
"what makes a good logo?
-distinctive (unique and memorable within a market)
-practical (can be used in a range of sizes, colors, types of media, reversed, reproduces well using low res / poor quality)
-Graphic (uses an image to communicate, doesn't depend on words; recognizable by form alone)
-Simple in form (strong and clear -- the more unique the logo, the simpler it can be)
-communicates (one) clear message
-Appropriate"
Of course this is a handout that applies mostly for corporate logos, but take from it what you will. :)

Karate-BUMP!
updates to come, I swear. I just need to get my game out of the way.
Suggestions still please?
Can be randomly (seemingly) irrelevant or crazy! Ideas come from ideas.

Ok, Took another shot at the design after doing a bit more research into logos
- it say's "AJ"
it is a pencil.
It still needs work, Any criticism is helpful

Again, you combined the two letters together. Personally, I'm just not a fan of that.

mmm. I kind of agree with what johnny said...
main problem with this logo is that its just unclear.. If poeple cant easily see what text it is, it will not really stick with them. Plus they wont associate the logo with the name.
If your going to go for this though, I`d suggest makeing the letters more clearly. Another idea would be to just have the pencil draw the letters.
