Really close friends? Only about 7 or 8.

But acquaintance-friends (the one's you see and hang with every now-and-then), I have dozens.

I've grown apart from a bunch of my friends, but definitely never on negative terms with any of them. I'd say there's probably a solid dozen people who I'd feel confident entrusting my life to in any situation, and another 4 or 5 that could be trusted in many situations but not all.

I dunno. You could say I trust people too easily, but I would contend that I'm just a solid judge of character. I'm not one to make up my mind about people, either so these people have continually proved to be 100% trustworthy in my book.

I'm friends with tons of people... but "trust with my life"....

Still do, but they're just mostly the friends that I go and see at a party and hang out.
But I have probably 7 close friends that I hang out and talk to daily.

I don't waste time with the shallow crap... I'm a generally honest person so I can't stand the language of subtleties that comes with a 'light' friendship. I have like two friends, but I've trusted my life with about 20, since I rock climb.
