The forum is not a blog, its a forum where everyone can post. You have a blog on your own userpage that you can mod and delete comments.

Only the mods can delete comments here.

Yeah, you can actually remove them. As a matter of fact, you can pick and choose which ones you want to remove, make it so all comments are approved, or just disable them entirely.

If you're talking about topics on the bbs (I really can't tell based on how you phrased everything) then you can just sit back and let the mods take care of it in the unlikely chance your topic does get spammed.

Basically both of them amount to just having patience.

The mods and admins choose what goes on the forum. Your blog is your own spot, you can delete any comment off of that.
If you hated somebody after a big discussion in your thread and erased his posts, it would lead to all sorts of problems. That's the dumbest shit ever brought to my mind today man...
