[google wave] NG Contact List

There is a wave in existence which I'd like to add ng users too as a sort of "chat" wavelet.

If you'd like to join in on a general newgrounds wave, I'll need your @googlewave.com account name which you may pm to me or post here.

Also, if you want to be invited, we'll keep a list of users who have requested an invitation, but have not received one yet.

When you post here or send a pm, you'll need to include the following:

[FOR USERS ALREADY ON WAVE]
1) <a ddress>@googlewave.com

[FOR USERS NOT ON WAVE]
1) An e-mail address. It is probably preferable that you just create a new gmail account or use an e-mail you don't use very often. If you post an email here, it is likely to be spammed, so use something you don't mind being cluttered. This won't happen if you pm me an address.
2) You'll need to check every few days to see if or when your invite goes through, it takes anywhere from 2 days to a little more than a week for an invitation to go through.

Keep in mind, if you want to be invited, your e-mail will be made public to everyone who is on the wave, so send me an e-mail you are ok with being public. Do not send me something you want kept private.

Alright, stuff is working again. Unfortunately, none of you who have contacted me are already on wave. So, you'll have to wait until some ng users with wave agree to participate. You're still on the list, but there aren't enough invitations to go around yet.

I'm officially lost. What the hell is Google Wave? According to its own website, it is... everything and nothing right now.

Why would this be preferable to the normal chat-rooms on Stickam and Paltalk? How would all the advertised stuff be of use to NGers?

oh man, google wave sucks. I was clicking stuff and I just managed to spam Wades wave thing, this won't end well. That's something I dislike; there's no sort of confirmation for an action, I clicked a button without seeing the result and that result will notify (I assume) others and there was no confirmation. I guess this is for ease of use though.

Keep in mind it will take upwards of a week to go through after you are invited. You are on our list of people to invite though. :)

Just so you guys know, it can take weeks for an invite to arrive. Once you get invited, your email address is added to a list, and you don't get the email until Google are ready for the next batch of testers. Mine took something like 2 weeks to arrive.

As mentioned briefly above, invites are not instant. If invited you're added to a big list of people, every week or so google go through the list and "invite" most of the people to use the service by enabling it on their accounts. So even though I invited you you're not instantly eligible to use the service.
