One man.
One goal.
A killer, at large.
He murdered his mother, now he KICKS. THEIR. ASS.
See the new action hit thriller of the century - REDEMPTION.
Warning: Beginning of movie may contain the killer already being in jail.
In a world...

Actually, I meant to mention it, but I think people get early parole for good behavior a lot of the time, or at least get their sentence reduced.

I'm glad the dog bit a chunk out of em, and that it didn't share the same fate. Your mothers in a more peaceful place now and she's still with you more than you realize. Try not to tred on the past and let it keep you down, your mother would of wanted you to put it out of your mind and live a happy life.

Oh man, that's rough shit. Having your mother die is bad enough, but for her to go that way just isn't fair.
The man deserves the sentence, definitely. He had so many chances to just leave her alone, but he chose to ignore them.
I'd be happy about the verdict, and I wouldn't try to hide it. Maybe I'm a little vindictive, but if a man stalked and killed my mother, I'd pay thousands of dollars to be left alone with a lead pipe in a room with him for 5 minutes. Of course, since that's not going to happen, the best I could hope for would be a lengthy jail sentence.

Relatively short time? He'll be 67 by that time and hopefully by then at the very least, this sick fuck will feel some remorse, for what he's done.
You have my sympathies, jarrydn - at least you have someone to become the embodiment of your pain and grief. I only have the cancer to blame for the loss of my girlfriend's mother, almost 2 years ago now :(
The best piece of advice I can give you - write your mother a song, to celebrate her life, rather than dwelling on the tragic and bitter end. Make her proud of you.

I just hope that he actually goes through with the minimum 26 years.
In Britain every week or so has a Murderer in the news because he is released early from Prison because of Human Rights. Now I'm up for Humane punishments, but if a murder gets off early because his feelings were hurt, then what is the point in Justice.
Also, an hour opening a door? Definitely got a problem!
Sorry to hear your loss. Shouldn't have to happen to anyone.

I am truly sorry for your loss. This peice of shit dosent deserve to be in Prison. He should be hanging at the end of a fucking rope. I feel for your family and yourself. It is sicking that Innocent people are victims of senceless lunitics. Then we just lock them up when they should be Killed.
If you are finding peace in the Sentence thou, then good. Moving past something like this could not be easy. The Urge to take his life yourself could not have been easy to restrain. Thank you for sharing your pain.
Hope you can find your peace.

Here in Lithuania you usually get up to ten years (if unlucky) for first degree murder. It's usually five or six.
Some dude killed my mom's friend's neighbour and got four years in prison.

26 years? That's a fucking joke. He killed someone, he should be executed. At the very least, life without parole. Why does the world take murder so nonchalantly?

As for the jerks in this thread, its unfortunate you can't find some sense of communal spirit to even give your respects. I won't ban you, I'll leave your post so you look like the dick you are.
I'm pretty sure they want that. Otherwise the fucking assholes wouldn't have made the posts.

Some of the posters here may not understand the Austrailian legal system, which has many similarities to Canadian system. When your put in prison, you can get what is refered to as 'time served' lessening of your sentence. That means you can get out of jail earlier, by showing good behaviour, going along with prison programs etc. Some are able to get out in as little as 1/2 of the time they are given, but generally they're eligible to get after serving 2/3's of their sentence.
But when a judge puts a time of minimum served (as in this case 26 years) you have to do every day for a full 26 years & then you become eligible to apply for parole.
That doesn't mean your going to get parole.
I personally hope he rots in there until he dies, & hopefully you & your family members are there in 26 years to argue against any parole for this bastard.
My sincere condolences, I can't even visualize, how I could cope, with something like that happening to my Mom.

THis might get me in trouble as a kind of back seat moding...but why couldn't you ban assholes like that & leave their post up...that way we get to see what an asshole they are, & they're still gone.

Yeah...It really is sad. I don't what I'd do if my mom died and the murderer would get like 5 years (if he was lithuanian of course).

26 years is not long enough, it should be for the natural term of his life. I think he will always be a danger to society.
Paul was my best friend through high school at St Norberts College (yeaaah catholic school), we learned guitar together and had our first bong. This was his undoing. The drug psychosis thing seems like a cliche, but i saw him gradually deteriorate and graduate from mull to speed to stronger stuff.
In the beginning he was a pretty normal kid from a messed up middle class family, (there was something deeply wrong about that family, but I could never put my finger on it - a very tense atmosphere). In the end due to paranoid psychosis he gradually became the psychopath that still affects our lives.
My heart goes out to your family bro, I know its been a while but I also think about this a lot.

Someone I knew went to federal prison a few months ago for repeated theft (she stole about $10,000 collectively from her worplace). It made the New York Times.
I considered posting it here, but part of me opted against it. Don't know why.
