I tend to keep all forms of change in a jar or something so that I can get some money after the jar fills up.

But personally, I don't really find any use for pennies.

I'm gonna go back to my room and be awesome.

Of course. Money is money whether you have to cash it in or not. I have been saving my pennies and other spare change in a huge water jug and I am almost set for my trip next year.

Pennies are definently valuable in my book.

person that does that?

Or do you actually use it?

I get it changed for notes along with the 2c, 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, EU1, and EU2 coins.

Ah yes, I recall someone on "The Colbert Report" saying it was time to retire the penny. I think the reason is that there's always going to be prices that don't add up to a perfect 5 or 10 factor. We simply can't just assume they'll never appear again, and it's going to take a lot of inflation to completely erradicate it, so I don't think it's necessary; not yet at least.

In Estonia, our smallest coins have a value of 0.6 pennies. And I gladly hang on to such small pieces of money until I get a chance to spend them.

pennies are valuable. they may seem worthless but when you see the 10 dollars (from pennies) in your pocket, youll be glad you saved them

I love any type of coin. I don't collect them, I just throw them in a big jar and cash it in after a few months. It pisses me off when people diss nickels and pennies.

Once in a while depending on how far north you are in the US, you will encounter some Canadian pennies.

Did you seriously do that? I've heard of some people, but if you actually went out and did that, I congradulate you. You should make a YouTube video putting all of that money into a dollar bill converting machine. That's what I plan on doing.
