Italian game development organization, BRODARODA, has recently released a freeware game entitled Taliban Attack. In the poorly composed 3D flight action game, the player gets to choose his side, Taliban or American. In the Taliban, your purpose is to take your hijacked commercial airliner and, you guessed it, fly it directly into the World Trade Center. As the Americans, you pilot a fighter jet and your purpose is to shoot down the planes until they reach their final destination. Whether you win or lose, regardless of the side you choose, the passengers are fucked. Both games are tricky in their own sense. In the Taliban, you got about a little under a 100 fighter jet launching missiles at your ass and as the Americans, you start off in the middle of the huge map with no idea where the planes are, and even then it’s difficult to pilot the plane and fire the weapons accurately. Personally, I’m sure you can get more enjoyment from playing a game of America’s Army, but it’s good for an evening’s worth of shits and giggles.
If you want to play it yourself, access the site below, go to the Downloads section, and look for Taliban Attack. Happy gaming.

Americas Army isn't bad. It's just too fucking hard.
The one thing force produces is resistance.

It's evidence of the propaganda coup that happened after 9/11. Now, not only do people think that Osama and the Taliban are connected, but they are actually the same thing. It's also evidence of the media falling in line and propagating this view.

Talking about that website might merit its own thread, but I think it applies.
What's the problem with making a game about flying airplanes into buildings? Do we have problems with playing out the other side of a story?

I think my problem with it is that it sounds like a really shitty game.
The one thing force produces is resistance.

I'd want to play it, if I were sure it wouldn't be a total waste of time.

The game is very hard, and it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

Tisk tisk, if you want to be on the side of the people who flew airplanes in the WTC, you should be Saudi-Arabia, not the Taliban.

The Taliban sponsored Terrorism though. The attackers just came from Saudi.

Yeah Iv'e thought about that alot too. Seems like the most dammning "proof" is tthe failed bombing the Taliban didn't get a chance to carry out on the WTC before. Other than that..... I don't know of any real proof.
