Look man, you really need to get algebra down. There's alot of bullshit in high school they make you learn, but if your going to want any of them; its math. I don't give two fucks about what you want to do with your life but when you learn what it is, you'll realize that you need to know the algebras. Personal experience: I needed to know basic algebra to work at fucking McDonalds. Even if you fail at high school life and end up as a bum you'll still end up learning math anyway. Its better to pay attention to it so you don't fall behind everyone else.

If you don't get your schooling done right your life is fucked. It may seem stupid as a Freshman (or whatever) but it adds up over the years. If you fuck up now, when you really want to do something and you seek it out they'll come back to this. Then you'll realize how badly you really needed school and why you should feel like shit. I made this mistake, fucking around my freshman year but now that i want to leave highschool EARLY the say I can't because of my failing a few classes as a freshman and sophmore (its true by the way that most highschools offer early graduation if you do really well. aim for that.) I hope you see this post and that it sets you on your way. It seems stupid at the time but it pays off in the long run. Little Jimmy if you want to be successful in life you have to get an education.

I think if he didn't care about you learning the material he wouldn't bother calling home to talk to your parents. Most teachers aren't out to fail you; they'd rather see you pass if you do the work. Key words: if you do the work.

Take it from me, someone who had a lot of trouble in my 2nd semester of algebra 1 freshman year in a Tk. 1 honors class. You will need basic algebra for many things, not only for algebra 2, but even parts of geometry. Take the time to learn the material now so you don't regret it on your SATs or ACTs.

You're right, you could be paying better attention in English. Also, if you can't figure out x or y and you're still in basic algebra when you're supposedly 13 and you can't understand that, there's something wrong. I'm not saying you should be taking linear programming or adv trigonometry like me because at my age it's absurd and sucks for me, but basic algebra? Pay attention, it helps.

Exactly how is he butting in? Math classes are the harder classes as they require higher grades to pass (Algebra 1B requires a 85% to pass, as opposed to 70% to every other class, if he's calling that means you fail at math, and why did you put in his facial features? Just accept the fact you need help.
