Likely when you realize that being "cool" means nothing in the big picture of life.

Also, once you grow up you'll realize that a lot of the kids who were "nerds" and "losers" as kids turn into successful, fun adults - while most of the "cool kids" turn into losers as adults.

You know you're cool when everyone you meet is friendly to you, or wants to know you, I'd say. It happens to me a lot, although that may be more because I'm in college and people are always more mature and overall nicer in those places, and at the age I am in my workplace.

Actually, most of the people I talk to are girls. People think I'm gay because of it. Truth is... I'm all over them XD

When you aren't part of a dumb trend, clique, crowd, or whatever, and you can just make friends by being yourself and not caring what people think, then you know you're cool.

if you get told youre cool, youre quite obviously not cool, but if you never got told, youd never know.

so, you know when youre cool, because no-one likes you. simple.
