It just doesn't make sense that one can be legal and the other not... Is there something I'm not getting here, or have the laws just gotten hectic and unorganized with all the new devices now?
If I offer to help you in a post, PM me to get it. I often forget to revisit threads.

It's against the law, but your chances of facing any consequences when you do it are infinitesimal.
When someone asks google to take the music off of the video then they will do it.
But on other sites then the music might still be in the video until they receive a legal threat. But yeah, hardly anyone actually pays for music albums anymore. Theres ways to convert video files to be audio files as well, so you can just download the video from youtube then convert it into an audio file then put it on your music playing device of choice.
My signature was old so I changed it.
God damnit, why not just buy the damn music. Support the band, stay on the right side of the law, and never have to worry about viruses, etc.
This looks froody.
it's illegal to download music for free off the internet, if you paid for it then it's fine, if not then I wouldnt go around announcing you did.

I fixed the quote
Hint: Album sales give little to no revenue for the band.

Beat me to it. Also though I think music is more valued/enjoyed when actually bought in physical forms or download. And I blame illegal downloading as a big part of why the music industry is so monotonous these days. Bigger record labels less likely to take chances with the chunks of sales illegal downloads take.
