Honestly, my mom barely knows what a Facebook is, and my dad really doesn't give a shit.
I made one for my mom a little while, and I managed to convince her that it's quite a social faux pas to have your family as friends. She believed me, and I think my dad finds the idea too damn funny to tell her.
She mostly has her church friends as friends, and she hardly ever uses it. In fact, she actually automatically blocks the status updates of all the people that are still in high school because they sometimes post rude things, so I'm still safe.
