Why should we all appreaciate NG?
It's because of pivot forums, of course! Most people on the pivot forums are either rude to newbies, rude to everyone, or completely up themselves. Sometimes all of those things.
I usually find that the flash animators and the general NG crowd are much nicer, which is why NG will always be my favourite place on the internet.
