New Deadlier Disease In The Ukraine

I've been reading up on two very scary developments in the Ukraine. They are having a new type of unidentified virus which has a 20% mortality rate.

and at the same time, a bacteria called pneumonic plague is also killing people in the Ukraine, it's mortality rate is 90-95% and 10% with medical treatment.

Just if you thought worrying about H1N1, if this gets out... we could see millions, if not billions dead.

They are setting up police check points, stopping people from leaving, Russia is locking down the border.

20% isn't that bad considering it's the Ukraine and all. The pneumonic plague isn't that bad, either. It's been around since ancient times (better known as the black death), and has a tendency to pop back up every now and again.

It's probably too late to nuke them... but that first disease can kill you in 2 days. The other one will just kill you period unless you get antibiotics in time to spare your life.

Now we have H1N1, a new unidentified virus as virilant and more deadly then H1N1, and a plague.

I have to agree... maybe Ukraine is a breeding ground of medical failures. In places where health care is shit, pandemics like these are not a suprise... hopefully it just all stays there.

Well, that was the only really bad outbreak it's ever scene. It's had small out breaks every few decades ever since.
