I just pre-ordered it at gamestop today, but I was wondering one thing. Why don't you get something special for pre-ordering? Pre-order Assassin's Creed 2: You get better weapons, AND A FLYING MACHINE. Pre-order Left For Dead 2: Baseball Bat & Early Access to The Demo! Pre-order Modern Warfare 2: Nothing.
So, how many of you pre-orderers are pissed that you dont get anything?

Back when its official title was just plain Modern Warfare 2, I got a poster signed by the people at Infinity Ward.
Not their actual signatures, just a copy. still a fucking awesome poster.

It all depends where you pre-order games from. Amazone, GameStop, Best Buy, etc usually all have different items or bonuses. Not every game has them, that's not really the point of pre ordering.

You guys are forgeting a pre-order is a guaranteed copy of a game. Bonus items are just things the company has the option to give.
If you are dissapointed, try to get a modern warfare 2 copy without pre-ordering it. 3 or 4 tries will be required to find a store with it

Probably because Activision already knows that a ton of people are going to pre-order it, so they don't need any extras to convince people to get it. The extras are usually a way to get more pre-orders, but since there's already going to be a ton of them, it's not nessesary to have them/

I'm going to wait for this Sunday for any potential pre-order bonuses or deals, and I'm also eyeing Wal-Mart's $20.00 gift card with the pre order of MW2.

Amazon has matched that as well. The $20 credit deal is the way to go for MW2. I don't foresee anything better popping up.
Gamestop would certainly like you to think that. Activision isn't stupid; they're going to manufacture enough copies to meet demand whether you pre-order or not.

You expect a gift for doing literally nothing. You aren't paying extra. In fact, many people pay the minimum amount. So, you expect to get rewards for promising the devs you might buy the game.

MW2 is so talked about that no one who wants it will forget to pre-order it. And you can just go into a shop and put a deposit on it if you can't afford it all at once. The minimum deposit in England is £1 so I can't imagine it being a lot in America or wherever you're from.

Actually its different then that. There is a limited ammount of time in which you can preorder. If you cant afford it at the time then there is usually no way to get the gamer picture/ crap item that comes from preordering.

Easy solution, don't pre-order. You're pre-ordering the game presumably because you want to get it as soon as you can, not for any content. Nobody said there was any extras, so why do you want things that haven't even been promise?

I have never had trouble finding a new release at my local Wal-Mart the next day.
You should totally use Goozex and sign up with my Referral Link so that I may get a free trade token so I don't have to pay for them.
