Yeah it sucks, but it's not huge deal.
There is no such thing as someone who doesn't like the PS3, there is only poor people who can't afford one. PS3 owners pity you and hope you can one day get out of poverty.

All consoles except 360 has no cross game chat.
It's not a necessity. If I want to chat, I ask my friends out.

I hear this alot from my 360 "friends". Personally, I deal with it by not giving a shit, If im playing a single-player I have yet to beat (case and point Uncharted 2 tonight) I say fuck you to everyone trying to contact me. If you can't see I'm damn well busy with single player that you invite me to some stupid shit anyway its your damn fault for not getting a reply. I picked this trick up from years past in war games. (Socom 2 inparticular.)
Also, we deal with more shit than you realize :/

Apparently we're supposed to get it since Naughty Dog accidently mentioned it in one of their interviews. It hasn't been confirmed by Sony, but people are expecting it now.

I wouldn't use it even if I had it. I go on PS3 to play videogames. Not to talk to friends.
In all honesty, I'm kinda annoyed at this multimedia approach. Suddenly, consoles need to have internet access, play movies, update your twitter, connect you to facebook, tell you when your favorite show is on and change your diaper. When did Sony and Microsoft forget that they're making a game console?

PS3 owners are a little more independent compared to the average xbox user. Honeslty I'd find it quite annoying having my friends talk to me while trying to play Fallout 3 or Assassins Creed.

Hell, how do you think Wii owners live then? We don't have in-game chat for most of our games. We don't even have a f***ing online system comparable to Live or PSN. Also, cross game chat is supposedly coming to a PS3 firmware update.

Ps3 Online is free to play games with other players. A 360's Silver (Free) membership does NOT allow online play. While sad, that we cannot chat with a friend who is playing prototype, while we play Red Faction, We should remember that Sony gives us online, for free. It's like playing a private WoW server. Sure, some stuff doesn't work, but it's free, right?

It is also over 9000 (:P) times better than the Wii's near nonexistent online system.
