Yeah, my old ipod broke, so i bought a new one.
They said they have an app in the appstore for everything, so I went and looked.

There are multiple apps out there with which you can actually control/trigger your DAW on your computer wirelessly. (There is an especially good one for Cubase I believe.. )
I have my mic setup in the farside of the room, and its always a pain to run to the computer with my headphones on and press R for record etc.
With the small app i got i can just stand there, press play on my ipod, control faders, even control MIDI input. I actually found a good use for the touch function of my ipod :D

Just thought I'd share. I'll post some links to good apps if there's interest.

... Or you could just search yourself and find the right app for your own setup :P

Cool! Maybe you also can control the volume of the recording, if you see that you're clipping.

I came across some of those too, for example these guys made a couple of apps that will send Midi CC information through Wi-FI (you need to download an application which creates a virtual midi input on your computer) and allows you to control any parameter in any DAW or synth with your device. One uses the accelerometer and sends two signals based on how you hold the device. Another gives you two touch pads and lets you control four parameters with two fingers. I don't know if I'll ever use it but it's a pretty cool and useful concept.
