I don't why, but the painting seems to have a darker tone to it with her expression and colors used. I'm not a painter, and only have a basic concept on color choices, but it seems like she's hiding something, and perhaps that's the point. Anyway the piece definitely has depth, and the way you worked those flowers make them look like origami.

You have great skills in observation! Everything you said is morr or less what I wanted to convey. She's actually a murderer and mentally unstable. At first glance there is a feeling of serenity, yet after examining it you find that there is something wrong with the subject. It is because of the darkness in the vines and the way her hands are positioned that it appears that she is covering something.

The best advice I can give you is always keep your feet planted to the ground and to always explore new techniques that are usually out of your comfort zone. Never brush off any comments made about your art especially the negative ones, they usually have reasons for saying so. Most importantly, interact with your fellow artists with respect so that you may learn from them.

Yeah it's always very powerful when people see the whole trip from beginning to the end. A lot of professionals remove their old amateur work for professional reasons but it's always very inspiring when they show where it started. It always says to people: look, I was just like you, with little to no skill, you can get there too if you put the time in.

I'm not sure if my work can be considered professional but thanks mate! I always look up to the people of the art forum since they helped me a lot in my improvement. I am eternally grateful.
With a bit of color.

Here is a commission for a magazine cover. Colored pencil plus a few adjustments in photoshop.
Another version of that magazine cover that my employer was kind enough to pay for.
