I've been holding out for a while just to see how things go and make sure I didn't want to go another route with the software studio. I'm thinking this is a good opportunity though, so expect to get some affiliate points or whatever you get soon.

I'll probably go all out and get the signature edition so I get all of the goodies with it.

I do already own the M-Audio Torq software and Xponent hardware for mixing as that is the only electronic music bit I'm doing for money right now, but I would like to do production at a professional level eventually, so now is a good as a time as ever to make that step I think.

I bought FL7 some time ago for about $200 bucks, and I was given AddictiveDrum from a studio co-owner my parents knew since he liked my stuff, but hated my FPC sound. lol. I borrow my band's keyboardist's Edirol Orchestral for free. That's about the extent of my computer programs.

My equipment as far as equipment runs like $300 for my Line 6 Spider III amp, which is discontinued, then $400 for my Schecter Damien FR electric guitar, $300 bucks for my Ibanez RG2ex1, $200 for my Mitchell Dreadnought, $500 for my Digitech GNX4 multieffect board, $100 for my microphone, and about 400 bucks to miscellaneous stuff like strings, guitar cases hard and soft, guitar stands, a capo, strings, picks, etc.

We payed for everything we use in our studio. The only times when we download something is to check out if it's worth to use it for our productions, and if so, we'll buy it.

Logic matched the cost of other DAWs now, it's 500 and around 200 for upgrades when they come out.

Seriously? Does NOBODY use Sonar? It's a fucking terrific DAW and Sonar 8 Producer is all you will ever need ever.

Sort of paid for Logic Studio ... I didn't, but it was a gift for my 18th birthday :P

Paid for what I have. Which is only FL Studio Fruity Edition (9 from the lifetime upgrades presently). Everything else I use is legit and free simultaneously, as far as I know. No real money for anything more, unfortunately.

Been using Logic 8 pirated for a long time, i tend to TRY stuff before I buy. Most things are just so damn expensive, i really want to test them out, before I sink money into it. But If i really do like something, and use it frequently, i end up buying it.

We use Sonar, but not as our main DAW, we only mix and master our productions in Sonar. We also use it when we collab with other people, when they use a different DAW then we do. So we can sync all the recorded parts together as one track.

Also love the V-Vocal to edit recorded voices. Great quality.
