I don't have friends

By choice. I know you're thinking "psh ya right" but honestly i think i must have a asshole radar because i'd much rather be alone than to be friends with these horrible people. In class i hear some kids talk about how angry they are that this girl doesn't do any work and shows up late. One kid says "i heard she has a learning disability" another kid goes "oh my god you serious? psh SO? thats not an excuse" and other kids start agreeing. You'd think after hearing this girl has problems they'd be a LITTLE more sympathetic but they just spend the class bitching about this poor girl whose been nothing but nice to them.

Then they ask me to sit with them...i actually hesitated because i was really happy eating alone and away from them...but i also didnt want to be rude so i sat there and kept quiet. I distance myself from people who i believe are going to cause me problems or i think aren't worth my time, and before you guys say "you only sat with them because you want to feel accepted" i actually sit next to the learning impaired girl everyday, and talk to her because no one else will, but i dont want to be friends with her either because she annoys me too, but i'll still be polite. So are you guys friendless because you choose it or because people don't like you? and why do you think that is?

ya i dont get the last line but i see what you mean, people just get bugged by me probably because i either talk too much at times or too little. Most of the time i have a blank face and im just staring around the room i can see how that pisses people off, and i can also see why i have 20/20 asshole vision and seeing people do asshole things that no one elses notices.

I think that your standards are too high. Either that or you're way too overly worried about getting hurt by a friend. Because it's one thing to 'not have friends by choice', but it's another to only have a few friends and find out that one's betrayed your trust.

Anyway, I'd reach out to people. You're too quick to judge. Sure, there are douchebags out there, but I bet there're some decent folks around that you're selling incredibly short. Plus... you grow to appreciate douchebags. I mean, I only hang around with all my friends still because we're all unapologetic assholes. To each other, to others, whatever. It's just about having some fun.

Plus half of my school is populated by Mexicans, and Mexicans only hang out with other Mexicans.

Me & you are very much the same Sawke, except that I have friends. I have found people that I can share with, and who will treat me and the people around them with respect. Some of them hide their true colours though, and when they finally show I cut the cord and move away.

I am polite to the people I don't like, I will talk with the retarded person of the room just to give them some comfort, I will help those who need it.

I actually wanted to be friends with those people because they seemed nice, but then i heard all that and it renewed my trust in any human goodness in anyone. I think i feel i have met only one person in my life as a friend who didn't make me feel that they secretly hated me or that i annoyed them. Here i draw the line at talking shit about a learning disabled girl, i've had people betray my trust, but that can't be helped if i thought they were good from the start. It's silly to be friends with someone you know is deceitful just to set yourself up for backstabbing later. But yes i really don't want to work at friendships, i'm not interested in being "called" to go places, or asked to hang out at random. I like the type of friends who wait for me to call them. Difficult i know.

Bleh, I used to have friends up until recently, when I considered everyone an acquaintance and not a close companion and distanced myself from everyone else.

most people aren't worth friendship in high school, you'll leave and see perhaps only two of them in your life later on. I'd just rather not have to go through the goodbyes.

It's my first year in college.I did have friends in highschool, but we had nothing in common except that we were in the same school and we all agreed "i never want to see you again after this" sad? fucked up? probably...but we all had the same mindset and it was agreed. They treated me like friends...and they may not have been BFFS!!! but they weren't enemies....still it would be nice to make at least one trustful friend with something interesting to say by next year.

Well, in my school, its inevitable that you will become friends with someone, because you have to deal with everyone during the day. But when I can, I like to distance myself from other people. I am more of a lone wolf, just for the reason that Everyone has a tendancy to piss me off, I actually prefer newgrounds more than the people at my school, just because they are doing stupid shit like smoking weed and ganj every 3 seconds. I also prefer to be alone over hanging out with anybody, for the fact I seem to have more clarity and wisedom, let alone time to think about things, but i still have the ability to get up and say something when i want to and getthe point through just fine.

Actually, I wouldn't call myself "friendless" just incapable of making new friends because of this massive shy wall. Like I'll pick up a pen here, say "Excuse me" there, give up a basketball in gym because they want to play more than I do. I'm polite as hell and usually people just ask me what my name is/how to pronounce it. I talk more to teachers than I do to kids I don't know.

Some people like me, I hear them talking about me in Algebra class and English class but otherwise everyone doesn't know I exist.
