I'm trying to upload a icon for my (smaller) Newgrounds logo. But when I try to upload it, it says that the image has a transparent background. Anyway to fix this? P.S. I used Paint.net to edit the image.

Zoom in and see if there are any patches of spots that have pixel-by-pixel alternating colors (it should look something like the gray-and-white transparent backgrounds you see in Paint.NET). Get rid of those.

I see what your saying but I don't see that and it still says it is a transparent image. I also heard somewhere that you can press some button combination on MsPaint, and it worked last time, but I can't remember what the button combination was.

Save it as a jpeg.
jpeg does not support transparency. Period.

It has to be a GIF.

open a new paint project, a blank one. have the image you want copied. Drag the white screen, the bottom right corner to the top left corner, til theres no more white and the corners touch
hit ctrl v, save, profit

You do if you feel like playing after you enter the code.

15 seconds with google:
If you're creating a new image, after you open Paint.NET, create a new layer and either delete the "Background" layer or set it's opacity to 0. The "Background" layer is created automatically with a white fill, so if you want transparency, you'll have to get rid of it. Then, create your image in the new layer. After you delete the "Background" layer, the background of the image should be a checkered pattern. Everything that is still checkered when you save the image will be transparent."
Logically one can then deduce that inversely if you want a non transparent background you must need to make a background layer and fill it with white, or any other color for that matter. I don't know, I've never used paint.net.

If you're talking about your sig, NG doesn't support GIF or PNG for sigs, so you can't have transparency. You have to use the NG background colour.

Paint.NET is a messy program. Use GIMP instead.

Save it as a jpeg, then open that in MS paint and save it as a gif.
Also, use GIMP. It's free and stuff.
