So, yeah...Darkside Chronicles is still roxing my sox at the moment, but it's hard as all hell. I'm playing on Normal and I died four times already. I was a pro in Umbrella Chronicles. Just a few weeks ago I was playing by myself on Hard mode through the game. I guess the sequel just requires a second player a bit more than the previous one. Umbrella Chronicles was set up like a single player game, and with two people, you hardly ever got hurt.

I gotta vote for the RE4 Menu Remix For the menu.

My credis vote goes to Darkside Lab Escape Theme.

My extra vote that could fit either the menu or credits is the Wesker Mercenaries Theme.

For the menu and credit music, I'd still have to go with mine... Just cause they sound cool :p

So, that's one vote for "spooky tension" (RE2) as menu music, and one vote each for End of Umbrella and Wesker's Mercenaries Theme as the credits music.

It is a paradox, I know. At the same time kids are getting more technologically aware, they are losing touch with common sense. It results in kids who know more, but apply their knowledge less - or improperly. So they're getting smarter and dumber at the same time.

BTW, I have made final decisions on my VAs and sent out the script... I don't really expect it back until after Thanksgiving, though.

Well hell, it beats the shite out of making backgrounds, or generally, anything in flash. I hate lip syncing, walk cycles, and the whole list of possible animations, but at least I'm moving the movie along while doing it.

Helbereth, before I forget again, I need you to confirm one of your votes on music in this collab. You put your extra vote to Wesker's Mercenary Theme, but didn't say if you wanted it as menu music or credits music. I need a decision, ASAP.

Well the Wesker one would fit better as credits music, so I'll put it in that column.

Alright, until further notice, the Wesker Mercenaries Theme is winning as the credits music with 4 votes, and the RE4 Opening remix is winning as menu music with 2 votes. I'm kind of bumbed that we didn't choose the Escape the Lab theme as Credits music, but I guess I'm still just too much of a fanboy of Darkside Chronicles (but you guys got to play it, it's awesome). And the RE4 Opening Remix would work perfectly as menu music for this collab, so I'm happy that one came out on top.

Oh, and I was looking for a theme from Darkside Chronicles before, but it wasn't the main menu music, it was the results screen music. I thought it would also have been a great candidate for menu music.

I'd like to reiterate something I said earlier:

No, this collab will be finished when it's finished. IF I ever lay down a deadline, it'll be for the last two or so guys finishing up their parts, but more so to get their asses in gear. Needless to say, this collab will likely end up being released a few weeks later than we COULD submit it. I just hope I'm not one of those last two guys finishing up their parts. I have plans for two more parts that I REALLY want to do. Oh, and I'll show an update on my first part soon. So you could see how I prettied up those backgrounds.

The activity has been slower than normal. We don't drop from the first page this often. It seems the most work being done is between me and Helbereth. But if he's waiting for voices and I'm unmotivated to draw (I said draw, not animate), than this collab might start taking some naps.

The four day weekend starts for all us kids right after school tomorrow! Yippee!

Oh, I can't wait for December. Winter tablets from that very nice Mr. Fulp. I hope he considers me for one. I've been working extra hard all year waiting for December, now it's just 7 more days.

Oh man, Wednesday is the first day of DECEMBER TABLETS! Oh, I hope Mr. Fulp read my "application" to be one of the winners. I just got off my 2 day ban, but I don't have anything to show. I got banned for assisting a troll in derailing a thread that was supposed to be deleted anyway.

I've been too depressed to work for more than 10 minutes on any flash. I've been working on both the parts I have planned. Not quite sure which one I'd like done first. The thing is, I can't do anything for longer than 10 minutes. This whole weekend was planned for large amounts of Fallout 3 and Modern Warfare 2. The latter was meant to be played with some chums at school. I know this sounds really silly, but my PS3 breaking down before the weekend began really annihilated my high spirits, and not even my old art drawings hung on my room walls can give me the inspiration to go work on flash. I literally sit around for hours doing nothing all day. All I can remember that I did this weekend was play some Pokemon and beat Darkside Chronicles and Code Veronica.

I haven't gone and bothered getting this generation of hardware yet. I don't have a PS3, 360 or a Wii.

I do, however, recall having one of the original 500,000 PS2 systems produced (if you don't know, all 500,000 had to be replaced because of ventilation defects from the initial production). I recall having to sink back into PS1 games for a month or so while they sent me a new PS2. It sucked.

I've kinda been avoiding flash for a couple days, personally, because I don't wanna burn out like before. I have a folder loaded with drawings (sketches mostly) and a digital folder full of print-ready images I was going to paste on my walls... but haven't gotten around to it.

My feet have also been killing me since Thursday because I'm a moron and I spent most of the day cooking, standing on the cold, hard kitchen floor with no shoes on. But that's finally clearing up.

I got my voices back but haven't worked them into the storyboard quite yet. I'll probably do that soon and I'll post the full-length storyboard (along with the already-complete sequences cut in) when that's done. I don't think there's gonna be any logical place to split it into two parts, though.

As far as length goes, the actress playing Jill sent all her lines in 1 file, and it's just about 1:15 with no breaks, Wesker's lines run for ~30 seconds, and Chris has about 15 seconds of lines, so... simple math puts the voices at about 2 minutes... if you account for periods of no voices it'll push it to about 2:30.

Sounds like a monster! We're gonna need some awesome material in this collab to score an "ok" from Tom for a larger cap on file size. The normal limit was 8 MB right? Or was it 10 MB these days? Either way, let's keep it going guys!

Where the hell is everybody?

We got our PS3 back from a local repairshop. The price to repair it was totally bogus, but I feel really good at least having the ability to play it. About my earlier depressed behavior. I don't have any words to justify such a pitiful performance, so let's forget about it, ok?

Flash production from me will continue at its previously normal pace tomorrow. A new day. But more importantly, Wednesday is the start of a more important time. December tablets, how lovely it is watching Tom Fulp (aka: our Lord and Savior) hand out handy devices to Newgrounds' underdog animators. AND he showcases their submissions in the Front Page Post alongside interesting background info. Last year, he was meant to give out a tablet one day, everyday between December 1st and December 24th. 25 days, 25 tablets. BUT Tom was feeling extra jolly for the holidays and handed out a total of 36 tablets during that time. I even looked back to those posts to make sure.

I'm not counting on Tom being as jolly this year, but I'm sure it will be an exciting month nonetheless. :)

Oh, and as for final comments on Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles. Bloody brilliant game. Look up some Youtube walkthroughs or something if you don't ever plan on purchasing a Wii.
