Quick Question: Why was Donkey Kong Land for the Gameboy like a unique game unrelated to Donkey Kong Country, but it's sequels Donkey Kong Land 2 & 3, were just straight up ports of the SNES games?

Yeah, just like the SNES games, it was a trilogy. The third game was weird in that it used a roman numeral, however.

I used to have Donkey Kong Land 1 for Gameboy back when I was littler, and I remember it being it's own independent game. It was pretty kickass too.

I think you're mistaking DKL for the DKC ports.

Except black and white, monotone sound quality (blips and bloops), and over all the level design was different and all in all it was a compressed version of the SNES game. Now that I look back on it I relieaze how much it sucked..................................
.......god I miss my SNES.

You seem like a sane man.
Are you kidding me I'm bat shit crazy!

No because the DKC ports came out for the GBA and GBC (The original)

The Donkey Kong Land series was just for the regular GB.
