No edit button?

Not having an edit button on a forum is stupid IMO.

What DHT was trying to say is that there is no edit button because it will just be abused. People will change their posts for no reason to something completely different and/or change it back just to get out of a ban.

This will create confusion for the moderators and could make their job much much harder. So its best with no edit button.

Alot of things could work on the assumption that the users use it for ONLY it would be intended for. However, there will be someone or someone(s) who will abuse it some kind of way.

It's just best just to double check before pressing submit, and unless it's a huge mistake or something really bad, just let a mod deal with a deletion.
