4.09 / 5.00 12,195 ViewsAre we, as individual beings, just one species? Sure, the organism in charge is our Homo Sapien body, but within our body there is Bacteria that our body uses, like in our digestive system. Those are different species that are integral parts of us individuals.
Also consider the Mitochondria, they have their own DNA and can live outside our cells, and every cell has at least 1 (I think)
So, as a race of beings, are we really just one species? Or a collection of species working together to make up our race with Homo Sapien being the dominate one?

We're like a pizza there are many different parts, or ingredients, but ultimately, it makes up one dish, or species.
I'll like to think ourselves as pizza slices.
You see, new pizza ideas develop.
So in the beginning when the pizza was created, not a lot of variety was there. Now turn to present, our options are endless now.
Yay.
Why do I still have a aura? I wish I could rub it and make it go away. Where's the option for "No Aura"?

Don't forget about the metachlorines.

Mmmm.... Homo Sapiens... GHHAAAAA....
I suggest you go read the definition of "species."
Oh look! A cell isn't a species. Would you look at that.....
Siggy

Pretty much this. It'd probably explain the different variations of creatures within the Genus of Homo, as well.
Then again, nature's difficult when it comes to this...
Yeah, my favorite pizza would be pepperoni and olives.
Do our bacteria actually count as being 'us' is what I mean.

It's symbiosis. They're not a part of us, per say, but they are a part of our body's systems.
In other words, we aren't bacteria, we just have bacteria in our systems.

We cant live without our Bacteria though, doesn't that make it just as apart of us as other things in our body?
