Am I the only one who just figured out that the Saw movie series has a game to go with it? Has anyone played it because I wonder what the goal is and how it plays. I just saw it today at Gamestop on one of the game racks randomly placed.

Saw the game?

There was a demo of it at E3.. Supposedly it plays like a puzzle game.

I heard it's pretty good. It's worth a look at. I assume the story's pretty good and it's got lots of twists in it and lots of hard-choices.

Sig by Cast. I don't get it.

Well it's good. My only gripe about it was that the combat sucked.

I see what you did there. You "saw" it did you?

Anyway, there is no chance that I will be buying this game. It's just a "no". I've not even looked into how it plays, I've not even seen and screenshots of it. It's a Saw game, so it's just a fact of life. There is no way that thing will end up in my game collection.

Actually, a friend of mine has it. It's apparently very good, at least worth a rent.

My PSN ID is xscoot. Crazy, huh?

I just can't imagine how this will make a good video game. I mean after a couple of people saying that it's actually not that bad I'm going to have a look into it, but I still don't think I'm going to be spending my money on it.

It's a puzzle-action game. And yes, you'll be using your brain as you repair a few circuits after first finding a component to get electricity going all under a minute. If you run out of time, the dynamite place all around the room will go off.

It's a really neat game. A side story that takes place before Jigsaw died. It's not cinematically perfect, but it's worth a rent. You'll end up fighting enemies who are other people who need a key that was put in your eye socket. That key serves no purpose to you, and nobody will know how to remove it without killing you.

Sounds like it will be as exciting as the films were then.

You see, I knew that people would want to know why there are other people in there trying to kill YOU. So I gave them the reason. Each other guy wakes up with a video tape telling them to find Detective Tapp (you) and get the key from inside his skull.

I saw a review on X-Play, and Sessler didn't care too much about it. I think he called it a bad version of Condemned. Looks all right to me, definitely worth a rental.

I hear it's a rental. It's cool if you love Saw and the blood and gore that goes with it, but the combat blows and the tasks (breaking shotgun traps, solving the death machines) get a bit repetitive.

Am I the only sick bastard who thinks there could be real potential in a Saw game that revolves around creating your own traps an twisted machinations to dump unsuspecting louts into? Almost like an incredibly dark version of Evil Genius.

You guys do know that the only reason this was made was for money, not a single person really wanted to make this game, unlike most game devs who are into the kind of stuff they make.

The owner of saw just said lets make a game and have ppl buy it and make money.

I twittered that I made a facebook and digged it on myspace and gaia online then on my iphone app.

I was thinking of the same thing. My idea of a Saw game would be one taking place during the first movie's events. You play as Amanda, first getting out of her trap then making her way to Jigsaw and becoming his apprentice. You help him set up the bathroom trap, and other sick traps. Halfway through the game, you die when Jeff Reinhart shoots you in the neck. In the other half of the game, the protagonist changes from Amanda to Hoffman, then it's the same gameplay with a different player.

Basically you are playing as the apprentices, helping Jigsaw set up traps, fight enemies, while roaming around freely in the city like GTA IV. I think THIS would make a great game.
