I saw this movie last night and i have to say, it made it very hard for me to fall asleep. I never get scared by movies, and at the very least they don't make me have trouble falling asleep. I guess it was how the movie was presented, very raw and very real.

- If you have seen this movie and had any trouble falling asleep that night YOU MUST reply to this post. I don't want to feel alone anymore
xD

- Another thing i want to know is was the film in the movie the actual, real taping of what was going on, or just an interpretation of what happened?

Was way too typical of a movie for me to enjoy, especially the ending. Her face twists and she 'bites' the camera. You serious, directors? The number of times I've seen Adobe After Effects amateurs post that on youtube...

idk, I guess it was just too slow paced of a movie, nearly fell asleep half way through. Had no trouble falling asleep that night. Here's to hoping Paranormal Activity 2 will be a little better, without so much false hype.

Also, yes, the movie was mildly creepy, but nothing scary enough to effect me beyond 10 minutes after the movie.

Ya I know there are many threads about this, but I wanted to know if anyone else got as freaked out from it as i did =P

And i need to know if that movie was the real deal or just a interpretation of what happenend and some people just made a movie about it.

It's received some mixed reviews, but I'm still wanting to see it - looks fairly interesting, and I'm a fool for anything with a paranormal theme.

Definitely worth the watch. Just don't go in with expectations as high as they advertised it to be the scariest movie ever :/

Doors slamming, footprints, other "paranormal" shenanigans... It was the worst movie I've seen in years. Did I have trouble sleeping? No. I slept like a fucking baby because I was so tired from watching the worst horror movie in recent history.

I don't know how anyone could enjoy it... unless you totally skipped out on Blair Witch. I guess it could be freaky if it was based on actual events or was an actual recording - but it's not. Just like Blair Witch, it PRETENDS to be real to scare the audience.

The problem with this is that it's already been done. Genius idea to whoever made it though, almost blatantly copy an idea that was good at the time (I remember it was about 10 years ago when I saw it, cause I was in 6th grade camp and everyone was freaked out to be in the woods) so it can appeal to the next generation.

Fuck this movie.

As a sidenote, the last movie I lost sleep over is noted in my blog. It wasn't as scary as it was disturbing, but I was also really high so I couldn't stop thinking about it. If you're scared of a shitty movie like Paranormal Activity you'll probably piss your pants watching it.

I haven't been to the movie's in years but going recently and seeing this was well worth the overpriced movie ticket. This movie was pretty scary. I won't tell anymore cause I don't want to ruin it

Would you mind telling us exactly what the name of this movie was? When this first popped into my head, I was thinking about the "Urban Legends" by NewJoiseyWop (a great artist), but I'd like to know exactly where you saw this movie as it may have been viewed on the Internet. While I am open minded to this stuff, I still try to keep Occam's Razor in mind.

From what I understand it's not even a real movie.
It's all staged.

Agreed. It was definitely a creepy movie, but I had no trouble going to sleep afterwards.

I streamed it last night. I fell asleep an hour into it and woke up for the last fifteen minutes. Terrible, terrible film.

Nothing in it is real. At all.
It isn't a documentary, nor is it based on a true story.

I really liked the film. Since I saw it at a midnight screening, the audience's reactions were just like in the trailer. Some screamed at moments, and I could hear a lot of uneasy noises and talking. Although I did know the scares were coming, they were unpredictable as to where they would actually come from and they could just be little things. What partly makes the film suspenseful is the naturalistic acting, like how the couple, who are mainly the only characters, react to their surroundings. It has a good amount of talking, but it's used to develop the characters, and it's funny sometimes, like the guy's reason for getting ahold of an Ouija board. The audience I saw it with laughed, too. Yeah, the film was well worth my time.

Oh, geez! How stupid am I? I was going around this forum asking what the name of the movie was, when all I had to do was look at the top to find my answer. Anyway, I believe this is currently #1 at the box office, and I would like to see this sometime soon. Normally, I'd see it with my brother, but he's still clinically depressed and won't leave the house.

I haven't seen it yet, but with all the hype that it's "the scariest thing ever created" I'm assuming it to not be scary at all. I mean it sounds like a bad clone of The Blair Witch Project.

It was a huge let down, with only a couple of cool bits. It was basically inane chatting and bad acting. How hard is it to act and talk like normal person. Jeez. The only thing I found frightening was that paramount picked it up, and people seem to like it...

That was the original, anti-climactic ending. For some reason the directors felt like making multiple versions of the ending.
