There's no way anything can be better. If you've reached this point, you have no hope whatsoever. You can no longer look forward to anything, because nothing in your horizon is good; there's nothing there.

This feeling really scares me. If I have nothing to hope for, then I have no will to live. If I have no will to live then I might as well not be here. This morning I was so depressed I couldn't jog. Like a vacuum had attached itself to my mouth and sucked out all the will power in my sleep.

Now I don't know what to do, so I'm sitting here quivering.

Fuck everyone else, do YOU.

On a serious note, just grim and bear it. Trust me things do get better, you might not be able to see that at the moment but trust me things do improve.

Strangle a hooker?

Everyone feels that way every so often. You have a mental illness, now go out and start choking hookers. They have no soul.

I know what you're going through. My brother is at a stage in his life where he's simply insane and every minute of his life is miserable due to obsessive thoughts he has. I used to have something like that too and I've been able to reassure him. If you want to do something really effective, just try praying and getting a deep connection with God, allowing peace in your mind and being healed.

I used to feel like this too recently, but just think about what you do have. Things can only get better, and even though it seems like the good comes in small bits, enjoy them while they happen.

I used to have, and still do but less frequently, the same thoughts. I would sleep for 20 hours a day and order a pizza for weeks on end, then all of a sudden, somthing happened. I realzed i was wasting away and needed to go out and get a job, I became self employed, made friends and now i feel much better as a whole. but i am not 100% nor do i expect to be, thease things take time, just wait it out, see a doctor and look at your life in a positive way no matter hw bad things are now, positive thinking can do no harm.

OP, obviously, I don't really know much about your situation, you might have had some really stressful events in your life recently, I don't know.

However, I have a few suggestions which I hope will help.

This will probably sound strange, but you might have to make some changes to your diet. Insufficient nutrition can lead quite quickly to fatigue and depression. Try to make sure you eat at least two pieces of fruit and / or vegetables a day. Supplements in pills form are not really an adequate substitute for fresh fruit and vegetables, because it is much harder for the body to digest them and absorb the vitamins, bioflavinoids and trace elements your body needs on a daily basis.

If you are stressed because of school or work pressures, it is extremely important to let your teachers (or a trusted friend that you work with) know. They might be able to make adjustments to your working / learning environment and schedule which lessens the pressures you are under.

Next, sleeping patterns and exercise : try to make sure you get at least eight hours of sleep every night. I personally find that it I am having trouble sleeping, that I can fix things by doing thirty minutes of intense physical exercise (press ups and situps usually). If you don't get enough sleep, your body chemistry can be adversely affected - you run the risk of hormone imbalances which can lead on to problems with your metabolism, which you really do not want to experience.

Finally, this is going to sound trite and cliched, but here goes anyway : Give the situation TIME. Events that seem unbearable at present will become easier to deal with as time passes. Time gives you perspective, a changing viewpoint.

Problems you have may seem impossible to cope with at present, but if you try to break the problem down into something that you can deal with gradually, in incremental stages, then you might start to think of possible solutions. I find that I helps to make a list of your problems and then write down another list of possible actions to take to combat or resolve the problems, but maybe that's just me.

Just hang in there, don't panic or freeze up, keep fighting and keeping on, but don't try to fight your battles all at once, just take things a day at a time.

It makes me happy to read that most of NG aren't jerks anymore, like, theyve all matured to make smart humor or to give real advice!

I can't really help your situation persay, but some of the advices in this thread will definitely help good sir!

as a fellow ex-depresee, I can account for those advices and how well they work :)

I run every morning and night at the gym. I do gratuitous amounts of planks and situps every other night. I eat 70% veggies and have cut out sugary drinks/candy/bad food. Results are showing, however, this doesn't change the fact that I'm really down.

Today I didn't go on a run. First time in weeks I haven't run in the morning. I'll definitely go tonight, but still. I had like, no will to do so.

This is mostly because I'm hung up over a GIRL (I know, GAY). Nevertheless, I can't force myself to leave my room. This is deep now. Before it was kind of a crush, now I'm severely effected by this ho. I almost want her to emancipate me from my funk by FLAT OUT REJECTING ME. THEN AT LEAST I CAN MOVE ON. But alas.

I feel like I'm going to be alone for ever. No one appreciates me. Etc. I feel like the only use I may have is to play the role of a court jester to my friends, entertaining them and providing amusement but that I will never be able to have a girl of my own. I'm so tired of being alone.

Fuck everyone else, do YOU.

Ah, the heart of the issue. Yea... stop being such a fucking idiot and ask already. I bet if she had any interest she didn't think you were going to do anything so she moved on already.

No wonder you feel everything's hopeless, that's your outlook. Keep feeling that way instead of trying anything with the presumption of a hopeful outcome, though. Seems like a good way to live, right?

I'm trying! I already casually invited her to a "movie night", talked to her several times.

I haven't given up but she seems too distant. Last night I went running at the gym, and I had my glasses off and wasn't sure if she walked by me or not, so I hit her up on Facebook and was like "Yo were you at the gym" that night as a casual hello. AND SHE HASN'T RESPONDED YET. WHAT KIND OF FEMALE DOESN'T CHECK FB 24/7??? It's like a gender trait for them!!!

... and? Was it yes or no? Don't put up with her bullshit. Why is your time to invaluable to you that you'd let her string you around with some vague 'maybe'? Have some self-respect. I mean, if you're asking her to the movies it's no secret that you're interested in her. Why not just go ahead and let her know?

She's not going to respond. Women don't respond at all to wishy-washy timidity. What you should be doing instead is "Oh hi! [NAME]" and if it's not her just laugh it off and explain your mistake. Who knows? It could be an even cooler chick who you just started a decent conversation with for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

So... yea. Call her out on her crap and get a yes or no. Quit acting like it's all cool she's ignoring you. By the way: my third party impression is that she's not interested.
