This scene is very shocking, yet extremely deep. Every piece of this game's previews shocked me in may ways. Infinity Ward is taking cinematic gaming to the next level.
It's about time a shooter displays the true atrocities and brutalities of warfare. Too much games presents warfare as a playground, such as the realistic portrayal of Mexico City in GRAW, but its lack of ANY civilians at all in such a huge city.
This scene is comparable to art, this game is art, a very violent and crimson portrayal of terrorism and its potential impact on our world.
Most members of society that hasn't seen terrorism in action are pretty apathetic to such acts. Yes, 9-11 shocked us, yes, Mumbai shootings shocked us. But we still shrug off the "200 dead in a deadly series of truck bombings" just as a statistic. I hope we learn something from this.
