Drums are a lot easier to learn, but they're not highly recognized.

Dude, that was my first guitar ever, in cherry sunburst. Woah, that was a win post!

Drums are easier, and I'm certain there's more of a demand for drummers in bands, since everybody wants to strum on the guitar these days.

Drumtar.

I had only to wish that there be a large crowd of spectators the day of my execution and that they would greet me with cries of hate.

I would say get drums but your horrific taste in music has shattered the integrity of that statement.

lol@drums are easier.

Do some research before making statements like that. As someone who has played both drums and the guitar I can safely say that drums are a fuck of a lot harder.

Well my future carrer was not really directed towards a musician. Sure they make oodles and doodles of $$$ if you get the right taste, but this is like one of those passive time careers. Well I'd have to say I like drums more. I'd choose the ludwig brand other than anyone else. But yea, I did see a guitar at walmart for just about $100. It looks good for a beginner.

Do NOT go with this brand. Even for beginning, First Act sucks. I have an acoustic of that brand and it was ok, but I haven't touched since I got my Strat. And at school, in my music club, someone has a First Act electric guitar. The thing is a piece of shit; the strings are so high off of the fretboard, it isn't even funny. And the amps, don't even get me started. Trust me, your better off shelling out a little more money for a better know brand. Why practice a hobby if you don't have a reliable piece of equipment.

There are too many guitarists, and too few drummers.
So guitar, yeah.
