Oh how I loved Crash Bandicoot on the PS1. It's a shame, but as we know, all good things must come to an end. The same thing happened with Spyro and Rayman. All three were great series, the keyword there being "were". Crash now rides creatures, which isn't fun. Spyro just changed, for the worse. Rayman now has those dumb ass rabbit games.

When you look back, the PlayStation had some awesome games. It's a shame all the follow-ups ended their fun.

There are still coming games with him, there was released a game with crash a few months ago.
But naughty dog sold the series to another company, that's why it sucks now :(

What happened? Franchising. They took a good character, made a few good games with him, but ignored the warning signs, when popularity began to corrode. The result is before you.

i remember playing crash, rayman and spyro, all those games failed after ps1, they were amazing back then.

Crash was fun way back when. Now, however...god, I can't even look at him.

It took Sonic at least ten years to start to go bad, but it took Crash only four games.

Naughty Dog sold the rights to the game. After they stopped developing for it the game went down hill. The same thing happened to Spyro. After Insomniac sold the rights to that game the series sharply took a turn for the worse.

You can't be serious? Crash Bandicoot was a legend. I used to spend hours as a young'n trying to get through all the levels and beat all the bosses. I still have a copy of the first and second games. I don't play my PS1 all that often anymore, but Crash is one of the main games I play when I do.

He still isn't synonymous with Sony though, like Mario is to Nintendo. The games were fun though.

Crash was awesome when Naughty Dog was making the games. they only made Crash 1, 2, 3 and CTR. the last Crash game for the PS1, Crash Bash, was ok. and Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of cortex, the first game for the ps2, was the last decent Crash game. i liked it, most because it was so similar to Crash 3. with 5 worlds and 5 stages + a boss. in this game, all the bosses was Crunch with an element mask.

but now, riding titans and mutants, looking weird, Tiny Tiger is gay, Aku Aku and Uka Uka are plain ugly... and they talked norwegian in my version -.- the game was so bad i didn't even check out the english version... and Crash FUCKING TALKS IN THE END OF THE GAME!!! what the hell? i think that is my biggest WTF moment, Crash saying "pancakes"...

good thing we have Jak & Daxter for the PS2 instead of just Crash, and this time Naughty Dog have made Uncharted 1 and 2. i'm gonna get a PS3 just to play those games xD
also Spyro and Rayman were awesome for the PS1. i sill play those games. i just re-runned Crash 2 and 3, Spyro 1 and 2 and Rayman 1.

Rayman Rabbids wasn't terrible...maybe it dragged on a little at the second or third game, and it did sort of change the idea of Rayman, but either way, the company was busy making different games, apparently they are going to start again though.

Just like Spyro, the first three Crash games were incredible.
Naughty Dog and Insomniac seem to have gone from strength to strength after that, and Ratchet and Clank is almost a spiritual sequel to Spyro.

Spyro and Crash are Fucking Amazing. The best moments of my childhood was spent playing crash and spyro on ps1. It is Truly a shame that they would sell out some of the best games on the playstation. In my eyes, they were the best games of all time. They seriously caused an impact on my childhood.

That's a shame. If they were in the hands in the right developers, I'm sure they could at least be respected today, like with Earthworm Jim.

I reckon Crash reached it's possible peak at Twin Sanity with the workin with Cortex and such but after that the storys just got shittier as time went on and with Spyro I couldn't play more then one hour of A Hero's tail, god it was horrible with the gameplay and what-not...
