He's influenced a generation of progressive rock drummers and musicians alike by sporting dynamic chops and mastering odd time signatures and rhythms which are now staples in progressive rock and other music. I'm also sorry if i offended you because you can at least back yourself up unlike more than half the other people who like i said, jump on his huge ass bandwagon. But there have been other drummers to exactly the same thing, john bonham, buddy rich etc

Buddy Rich is his greatest influence, and John Bonham did venture a bit into that field but he had more creativity and raw adrenaline and power and gusto as well as chops of a God. Also it's no problem, it's my bad for not knowing what you were talking about. I could be wrong because I don't exactly know a whole lot about drumming.

No, but seriously, you can't really ask for "real evidence" in a music thread, because it's all a matter of opinion. And you can't prove everyone just listened to Tom Sawyer. Off the top of my head, I can list YYZ, Working Man, The Trees, Limelight, and The Camera Eye.

Neil Peart of Rush and Rick Allen of Def Leppard. Rush's drummer is insane and Allen is crazy good for only having one arm.

Bill Stevenson from the Descendents. He's amazing. He has amazing endurance, which you can definately tell in the song "Suburban Home". Personally I think punk drumming is the best thing ever.
