Quality over quantity. Plus, Metal Gear Solid is about sneaking. Mega Man is about flat out blasting. The similarities you listed are just video game traits in general, not gameplay features.

They weren't part of his old unit, Grey Fox was the only one who was a member of Foxhound, and he was the ninja, the ninja isn't really trying to help Snake, they're just doing the same thing, and then Snake kills Ninja because Ninja demands it because he is "seeking death" or something, so there is no self-sacrifice or stalling for time. Also, I don't think the bases in Mega Man were secret, Zero didn't choose to sacrifice himself, it sort of just happened, MGS guys are named after animals but not modeled after them, and you don't get their powers when you kill them either.

Your bridge is flimsy. (I haven't played either of the games in a long time, though)

I found this one quite amusing. It's just about 80% of the people here can't understand when sarcasm is used and rage and 1 thing is wrong or mentioned over their favorite game. They ruin these types of thread which require certain logic in both video games and the english language in general.

I said that they have different weapons and abilities, not that you gain THEIR abilities. Also this has nothing to do with much, but in MGS3 if you stamina-killed bosses you would get their camo that added special protection against certain stuff.
