Does anybody know what the story behind the newgrounds logo is? (The normal one with the tank not the halloween one)

Oh, no! Tankmen came after the logo. As far as I know it's been a tank with a guy on top. It just changed a bit over the years. As to why it's a tank? I have no idea. Maybe it was created in a phase of teen angst and boyish 'look-at-me-I'm-tough'-ness?

The history of Newgrounds article as well as Tom's biography tell us that it was designed by an artist friend of Tom's, Andy Brozyna and later redesigned by Jeff Bandelin... aka JohnnyUtah.
I wouldn't know the story behind it though, if there is one. I would've thought it just fit in with the theme of Newgrounds, like the level icons that were introduced at the same sort of time. Someone's probably posted the story already by now, if it's been explained elsewhere, so I'll be a fool. I'm not aware of it if it has already been "explained", but I think this is all the detail you need really, I don't know. The articles explain that hiring an artist wasn't a particularly planned move, so it probably happened more spontaenously than that.
So yeah, Newgrounds w/violence I think. Good good.
Well a tank is strong and powerful so maby have that as there image makes them look strong and powerful.
