I have a weird "fetish" where I look through the BBS archives looking for locked topics just to see what the Mod said when he locked it. does anyone else do this

Sometimes when I'm bored or when I just feel like browsing the old threads to just look at them.

It's not actually a bad idea to do that... if the mod who locked the thread left a decent lock message, then it'll help you to understand which types of thread usually get locked, and therefore should be avoided.

Haha no but I do learn some new things but sometimes its ridiculous cause people will start the billionth 2012 or halloween post and it gets ridiculous

You'd be surprised. Once you get past the whole "mods are evil because they enforce the rules that we agree to when we sign up yet still resent for whatever reason" thing, then you'll see that we do make teh funnies every now and again.

not to instigate a fight, and not directing this specifically, we dont have a problem with the rules, well atleast i dont, its the pretense in which mods inforce rules that are, questionably broken rules at best, and just mods locking what they dont like at worst.

to the OP, I think we look at topics that are locked for:

1.) to see the lock message, and if its funny or just lame and in bad taste.
2,) to see what it was that got locked and why.
3.) Its red, humans are stupid and red stands out amongst the gray/yellow colors, therefor we are compelled in that way
4.) to see what might have been

I like to look through them because they can often be quite funny; mainly when the OP is a retard or obvious troll and the mods lock it with short, sharp, snappy remark.

Even better if it has more sibilance.
