Grand Opening:Symphony of Specters!

Hey guys! I wanted to make the audio forum the first place to publicly announce this. I felt it was only fitting since everything started here.

The NG centric team of composers has finally broken into the world of audio freelancing! For many months now we've been working in the backgrounds, dealing with jobs and networking as we went along. Friends gained, friends lost it's been a testing period since the beginning.

Some of you may know and remember how the first 2 renditions of the site was. The first unfocused, the second bizarre and unattractive. This time we've taken the time to refine it, to make sure we were all happy with it.

I want to show you all our home The Symphony of Specters!

Im still quite unsure of the creation of this group though, could you explain it a bit better to me so i can understand?

My only comment is I never really agree with autoplay, even on a music site.

I'm a little lost on the question. Are you asking why we formed? The short answer to that is because we simply wanted to try and take ourselves further. Everybody in the group strides towards the simple goal of making it in the industry. And while the definition is simple we are ALL painfully aware how difficult that journey is.

The auto play thing was something I was aggressively debating with myself. I could never decide if I should have it or not. On one end it proves annoying if you're browsing other sites. On the other, it's a quick way of showing the potential client what you're capable of.

The auto play may or may not stay. I've tentatively put it on for now.

I figured out what you guys do now, did more research on your site. It was kind of hard to realize what you all do though. Im guessing you work as a team on video games people hire you for?

And on the auto player, i strongly suggest having a play button at the top of the screen so that people can stop the music, and even possibly lower the volume slightly lower than usual, but that song is relaxing in the beginning, so theres no worries.

As long as you dont have an intense song at the entrance of the site, you are fine. People only leave a site if its bad music lol, and they dont know where its coming from.

Ya, it's the greatest site I have ever seen, oh hey it's on my hosting, what do you know? Maestro did all the work, I just observed and cattle prodded him for screwing up the XML. Learn to Dreamweaver sync u bastard! :3

Site looks good, It would appear to be a bit large for people who surf on older smaller resolutions, but it's all good for someone who uses big rez's.

Couple of things. (im in work right now, so I cant turn on the speakers) but if you are automatically playing music as soon as the site loads then it can be rather irratating. The choice of playing music straight away is always good. Like at the top corner or something, it gives them the option, instead of Blam! Listen to this. Plus, anyone coming to the site 3rd, 4rth time around may not want to hear that music.

Other thing is a technical issue.
When you click on services, and the custom audio page loads, when you scroll over contact us for more info, or at times just click randomly anywhere the link underneath in red where it says Contact us, jolts with a space before the words.

Minor, but im like...oh what was that that jumped? :P
