Can anyone else think of a more brilliant tv quote than that? I think NOT. 4 words that produce an epic story to it, whats there not to like?!

You're right. "Last time on Pokemon," doesn't work out so well. And "Space, the final frontier" just doesn't work out.
If they make a trashy sequel to the trashy live-action movie, they should at least produce that quote. Somehow.

the series almost died when crillen or however you spell his name got hair, luckily they noticed that and made the show even more epic by giving vegeta a moustache

Goku fought frantically to save the Earth from the dreaded [insert earth destroying villain] and must recover [ x number of dragon balls] to make a wish and restore the now destroyed planet before [insert some other intergalactic planet destroying force] threatens Earth again.
Stretch the plot across two seasons and 25 episodes until the last dragon ball is found and goku can make his wish.
Theres a different level of suck-ass-ness to shows that have that.
