well yeah that is waht i was talking about. Not the bible itself but the rights absolutely.
The Bible written by man as much as the Bill of Rights, so those rights are still given by man in the end. If you want to look at it religiously, then yes, the rights are "god-given," but not everybody believes the Bible to be a holy scripture.
Also, commenting on other people, not you, why in the hell do people use events in the Bible as proof that the Bible is true? What the basically means is:
"This book is true. Look at this passage right here! See, it happened in the book, which means it happened in reality, and if it happened in reality it happened in the book, so the rest of the book must be true!"
Circular reasoning, it's stupid. I'm in no ways a person that hates religion; though I'm personally an Atheist, I've seen religion better a lot of people, but it's just that too many people are taking a negative influence from their religion.
