Capitalism has a major flaw in that it produces nothing but problems, however, this topic is not about capitalism. I'm actually doing an experiment to test my theory that a large number of posters simply reads the subject title of the topic and never the body message. It won't matter if you post about this being a ploy further down, because I think that people who only read the subject of the topic also don't read any replies to see if their argument has already been made. It shall be interesting to see exactly who does these kinds of things.
First off, I have read the entirety of your post, but let's start with the first sentence. Capitalism produces nothing but problems? America gained its independence from the British empire in around 1776 or something like that. In the 200 or so years of this countries existence, it has accomplished tremendous things. The first viable flying machine (kitty hawk), the depth charge, the first TV, the first radio, a transcontinental railroad, the first computer, moon landing, nuclear power, superpower, major force in both world wars, etc... In short, the United States is and always has been a major scientific and technological giant. To this day we still possess some of the most impressive technology (most notably aircraft) and the modern world as the world knew it was redefined because of our ancestors.
Countries like France have been around for like...700 years and have contributed french onion soup.
The fact is, capitalism breeds an atmosphere of COMPETITION. Those who thrive will be on top and those that don't...fuck you. Why do you think the SOviet Union fell? It wasn't because of any brillant military strike on our part or our allies...
