Not going to lie, I find it a little dis-concerning that your user name "GreekMythology", did you come to newgrounds with the sole purpose of discussing Greek myth?

That being said I participated in the thread you made in general and I do enjoy the subject. I've studied Greek/Roman mythology academically a little bit at the undergraduate level and it was among my favourite courses. So I'd say I know quite a bit about the subject, without actually being an expert on it.

Greeks, Norse, Roman, Egyptian... and so many more. Their stories, legends, myths. All very interesting, and captivating. The fact that they've survived past the fall of those old empires and civilizations is a testimony to the power of their storytelling.

I'll join. I've got a book on Greek mythology, it's about the size of one of those huge children's books, except it's much more awesome. Pretty interesting book.

It is kind of strange that your username is GreekMythology. I would think you were someone's alt trying to make this club happen.

So when you say Greek Mythology do you mean like Centaurs and Minotaurs(sp). Or do you mean the gods like Zeuss and Gaea. I'm pretty sure it's all mythology. I've always had a certain interest in things like that. I would be happy to join this establishment.

Well I see this as a chance for the club to be revived and you should just preach somewhere else. Besides you were the one that requested the lock on it, and you said that someone should make a new one, so I guess this can be the new one then. Now stop making yourself look like a dumbass.

What I meant by that is that crew is already there and that he can take the older crews existing rules and take it as this one. I'm not against reviving it I'm just saying it's there since he didn't know about it before.

Yeah I was thinking that too, it looked like a photoshopped thing for a blog or something like that but it was pretty cool so I posted it anyways.

but here's an awesome pick of MY MAN Poseidon

I was planning on posting a pic of Poseidon but that was the only one I could find and you posted it in the original thread.

That looks nothing a Greek depiction of him. This is Ares. What you posted looks like a Necromorph from Dead Space.

Also... weird as it may sound... I think Aphrodite is hawt. Anyone else agree?

Pic is the hottest art of her I could find.

That doesn't really, in my opinion, much depict something as what Ares would look like. It looks like something you would find at maybe a anime site or something.(barely)

No doubt, the whole point of Aphrodite is to look mad bonable; I mean really, in like 9/10 of the myths she is present in, somebody ends up fucking her... or wanting/trying to fuck her.

Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty, so i would assume she would be hawt. that is a pretty damn sexy pic though. not aphroditeish to me, though...
i like this one better. it's kinda hera-ish, though...oh well. :D

Assume? If you've read any Greek Myth EVER, you would know that.

Well to say that Aphrodite is hot is a understatmint haha. Helen was so beutiful a ten year war involving the two most powerful empires at the time was fought for her. Now she is a mortal demi-god. And Aphrodite is the goddess of love she is at least ten times more beutiful than Helen. So she is just like wow hahah

Hello people, I am I lover of ancient histories, as well as ancient mythologies...both east and west ^_^. So allow me to join if you will.

I liked Helen at first, especially after the film Troy (which starred Brad Pitt, Eric Bana and Orlando Bloom, a film which was terribly inacurrate to the actual story-line...still a better ending though, I liked the Trojans better than the Greeks in that story) but after I watched The Trojan Women, an adaption of an ancient Greek play, Helen pissed me off, she's so selfish and bitchy...

Besides, there are other lovely women in Greek mythology, then again, what other woman was named so beautiful that she caused two nations to wage a 10 year war for her...=P

Not to mention that with her magic girdle, she can make even women fall in love with her instantly.
