I've been working on this game of mine for absolutely forever now. I'm doing a lot of the work myself so it's taking a while (it's a multi-level platformer game that spans across several unique levels each with it's own boss, i wanted to create something as close to console games as i could without going overboard).
It's about 75% finished, the physics are totally there with only some minor bugs, pretty much all the art is done, and i've finished 3/7 levels in the game. All that's left is to just lay out the remaining levels and balance everything to a coherent difficulty arc, and of course, GET IT SCORED.
i've been trying since the early stages to get someone stable that can put something together. Its been a mess. I even wrote out my own theme tune for the character to try and help a couple guys along and still either nothing got done or the work that got done wasn't really what i was looking for.
I'm gonna need something fairly adventurous and sleek, that has a lot of fun action and is somewhat wild without being to heavy. The other big stepping stone is that I'd like it to be fairly steampunk, if that makes any sense.
The game is about a way over-the-top thief who generally gets away with whatever he wants through his skills in acrobatics, no sense of self safety, and in a lot of cases sheer dumb luck. It's set in a fantasy world filled with airships and sky-pirates and flying cities. There's no magic, it's all pulled off through Medieval machinery, (think lots of gears, fans, pulleys, hense the steampunk theme)
Generally speaking, imagine the game play something akin to Prince of Persia meets Sonic the Hedgehog.
If you think your up to the task, I wanna get to work right away (i'm willing to work with anyone as much as possible on this thing. I want it to turn out good and I'm not the type of guy to just go "oh go make this" and leave you to it alone) and I want to get a demo out asap to somewhat advertise the impending release of the game to the internet.
